As a Technical Writer

I always keep the knowledge-level and goals of my user in mind. Therefore my prose shifts in tone, style, and content to help the user achieve their tasks.

As a Technical Editor

I am the author's ally and the reader's advocate. When necessary, I cut out extra words, push actors of sentences to the subject slot, and reorganize sentence and document structure to ensure a cohesive document while maintaining the writer's meaning and voice. I also correct any punctuation and spelling errors.

As a Document Designer

I apply my technical and design skills along the way to produce efficient documents that take advantage of templates, styles, snippets, conditional tags, and so forth. I also apply a logical hierarchy that maximizes information scent and a layout that reduces the cognitive load on the user to create readable documents.
